My biggest allergy-free cooking challenge is just finding something safe, nutritional, and tasty to cook since my baby has multiple food allergies (milk, soy, wheat, peanut, egg white, sesame seed, almond, barley, beef, corn, coconut, green bean, melon, oat, peas, rice and sunflower).

We have a hard time finding protein to feed him since he is only one and he doesn’t like to eat food with a lot of texture. We try to puree as much as we can for him, but some foods are to grainy for him when they are pureed. :(

Thank you for the chance to win!!!!

my biggest allergy-free cooking challenge is finding things my 2 boys like and not repeating it over and over again. And being on a budget im seeking as much help as i can!!!!

My challenge is finding casserole type recipes that I can make ahead for nights that I work that don’t contain the usual “cream of…”. My son is allergic to dairy.

My biggest allergy challenge is other family members! Most of them do try to fully understand my son’s allergies, but there have been times when my mom has made something and swears that it is safe for my son, but when I double check all the ingredients I often do find one of his allergens hiding in there that she just completely overlooked! The thought of her giving him something when I’m not around to double check ingredients terrifies me!

oh wow, that’s exactly what i fear. its like they don’t take the time to be aware of how serious it to not double check.

I have a nephew that has a milk allergy – not just lactose it’s all milk. It’s pretty hard for me to cook who is used to put cream in everything! I am getting there and this book would be great.

  6. Casey Duncan

My biggest challenge is a corn allergy since corn derivatives are in many products, and corn doesn’t have to be identified as a potential allergen on food labels. Hopefully one day!

The hardest part of cooking for allergies is making food that looks and taste close to what their friends are eating.

After nine years of allergy free cooking, our biggest challenges are still going to relatives houses and restaurants! I prefer to cook at home and know our food is safe. I have come to love baking with my kids and have experimented with all kinds of recipes. I look up new recipes every week. It is my responsiblity to teach my three children that they can cook things they like to eat and have fun doing it!

My biggest allergy free food challenge is finding a store bought bread that is free of dairy, egg, sesame, and peanut/tree nuts. I bake my own bread for my eldest son in a bread machine. He loves it but sometimes wishes he could eat what he sees other kids eating from the store.

I am intrigued by the dairy free sour cream recipe! I have a Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake recipe I want to adapt.

My biggest allergy cooking challenge is VARIETY! I feel like it is so easy to fall back on the same old meals. It takes a lot of motivation to continue to mix it up and stay creative!

My little boy is allergic to wheat, egg, dairy, peanut, tree nuts and has fructose malabsorption! Life in the kitchen would be much easier if he could have egg though!

I would really love to read this book. I have a 7 year old that cannot eat diary, egg, wheat, gluten, soya, coconut and tree nuts. It is a huge challenge, the biggest challenge of course is doing school lunch…I have learnt so much about food dealing with this but there is so much more that I need to know. Delighted to see more focus on this area.

My biggest allergy free food challenge is worrying about my son who can’ have milk, my other son who should not have any food with additives or dyes and my nephew who cannot have tree nuts. At times, when my sister and I have to make food/desserts for the kids it can be difficult to get one thing they all can have.. oh yeah, and all like! :)

My biggest allergy-free cooking challenge is probably the disappointment that my son has when he sees things that look good to him that he cannot have.
