How about you and yours?

I sincerely hope you all had a lovely, safe, wonderful holiday season.

We stayed safe, traveled a bit, and had a lovely time. My regret is my lack of planning though, which always seems to be the case. I hope to better plan this year so that we can fully enjoy everything each holiday has to offer. This ties directly into today’s topic 😀

Resolutions, plans, etc are always the theme this time of year and I feel the urge just like most folks. The only thing I really think I’m going to commit to though is a focus word for the year. Have you set yours yet?

That’s what I hope to become this year. I want to go out and LIVE instead of looking at other people’s life behind a screen. I want to make plans and follow through and really squeeze every bit of life I can out of most days. I mean shoot, I seriously almost died last September, and October of 2012 (carbon monoxide leak in the house), I really don’t want to repeat the experience without some major living.

So let’s talk about something a little new here. Pressure.

With the holidays under our belts let’s look back a bit and see how we did.

Do you work well under pressure?

For me it depends on the pressure. Some pressure is great, other pressure induces major panic attacks. I tend to get the most done right before an event. It’s like all of a sudden a fire is lit underneath me and it’s time to get down to business. Deadlines make me happy. I’m trying to make that fire happen a little further out than two days before an event. I now know how to use a planner (thank you college!!!) and will hopefully be able to utilize it to get stuff done ahead of time this year.

So what about you? Do you have a word this year? Any goals you hope to accomplish? How well do you work under pressure? Let’s chat!

Just hop on down to the comments and drop a note! I truly adore getting feedback from you, it’s an amazing way to get to know each other. If you’re reading this in email just hop on over to the site and we can get a conversation going!
