We Wait
Today we wait. Maya is having an antro duodenal monametry study catheter placed today. We stay overnight today, and the study will take place tomorrow. I am currently sitting in the waiting room while they place the catheter. I brought books and movies for her to help us pass the day of waiting by. There will be no food all day for her, but they’ll feed her via IV.
This study is the last step before Maya is totally eligible for the Nissen. They’re checking to make sure the duodenum ( first portion of the small intestine) and the exit point of the stomach muscle function is normal. We don’t feel that anything will be abnormal as all of her previous studies have been normal.
I would greatly appreciate your prayers that the doctors work well together and that the day passes quickly for her.

Any updates? How is Maya? My thoughts are still with you!
